Once, when challenging a driver on the circuitous route he took me on, he got out of the car, assaulted me and spat on me. The taxi situation in Belgrade is awful and something that put the city into a 'third world' category. Belgrade: if you fancy yourself a European city, correct this abysmal taxi situation.
