Why Not Go Bird Watching In Serbia?
Looks like more and more people are realizing that going bird watching in Serbia is really a good option. Back in December, a blog post over at Fillfreetime.com asked a good question: Why not go bird watching in Europe? It pointed out numerous options available, including the Spanish Pyrenees, France, and Serbia:
“Serbia is another place that you must consider for going bird watching because there you will get to see some very exciting bird species that include the Pygmy Cormorant and the Great Bustard as too the Saker Falcon and the Wallcreeper. You can fly into Belgrade and then travel by road to destinations in Serbia where these and other exciting bird species can be viewed.”
The latest example comes from a blog post by Gerard Gorman, founder of Probirder.com, a guiding service for birders visiting Central and Eastern Europe. He notes that few birders visit Serbia and points out that “this is a mistake!”. He goes on to say that “Serbia is a great, and safe, birding destination.” That said, Probirder is running a guided tour around the heart of Serbia from May 10-17, 2010. Traveling to Serbia will satisfy the most avid bird watcher. Still not convinced? Check out Wild-Serbia.com
