Bernadette Oliveira Martins, a young Portuguese woman working as a volunteer in a youth organization in Vranje, Southern Serbia, recently spent a few days in Belgrade. She wrote:
Belgrade is a very dynamic and modern city where we can find pretty much anything. It offers a variety of attractions and different restaurants, bars with different types of music, etc…There are also a lot of green parks and some quite neighbourhoods where you can walk, take a coffee in very comfortable cafés (in the Bohemian neighbourhood for example).
In this report of her five-day visit, Martins gives a great description of Belgrade, but the most interesting part of the post is her photos of Belgrade. All of her photos (30) are great, and her gallery is certainly worth exploring. Some people may complain that Belgrade lacks the glittering art galleries and grandiose vistas of London, Rome or Paris. But those who take the time will discover in this city a rare personality.
