A Canadian In Serbia

Back in November, I wrote about Radmila Milinkov, a Canadian of Yugoslav/Serbian origin and her husband, who were considerably apprehensive of traveling to Serbia, but were pleasantly surprised with their visit to Serbia. Well, Laura Stusiak, a Canadian (not of Serbian origin) and her husband David, were also a bit nervous about travelling in Serbia. However, they have already planned ...

What Makes Belgrade Beautiful?

Back in September 2009, I wrote about a black hip-hopper in Belgrade, Christopher Rudder, who is in the Toronto based hip-hop group aLLeYNe & tEMuS. I ran into him last summer in Belgrade. It's a small world! Christopher Rudder has just uploaded to Youtube another fantastic video titled Back To Beautiful Belgrade (Beograd, Srbija). He shows and explains what makes ...

Serbia, A ‘Pro-gay’ Country

Serbia is perhaps one of the most pro-gay country on the planet. Yes, Serbia. Why? Serbia is not on UN Dispatch's list of The 55 Most Anti-Gay Countries At the UN. Just one thing. Serbian LGBT community did not support the latest/last pride parade held in Belgrade, and (maybe) this resolution.

Travel Chaos: Belgrade Is Not London

Tangerine PR, a top 5 UK PR consultancy, put up a blog post talking about the unacceptable travel chaos caused by heavy snowfalls this week across Europe. It notes that Serbia manages to operate its aircraft with cold, icy, arctic conditions:
While Russia with its sub zero climate and mountains of the white stuff doesn’t cancel flights and Serbia and Helsinki ...

Serbian Women… With Long Legs

Back in 2007, there was a fascinating article in the Sydney Morning Herald by Aussie chick, Maggie Alderson, talking about the beauty of Serbian women... with long legs. Here's a short excerpt, but it's worth reading the whole thing:
Now I am really not exaggerating here when I say that every single girl I saw at that lake had a perfect ...

Arie Uittenbogaard (Netherlands) travels the world for all kinds of trying enterprises. He recently visited Belgrade, and put up a post entitled Tourism in Serbia - a quick survey full of wonderful tips and insightful information. It's well worth reading Arie's post in full. If there was a “Top three Reasons to Go to Belgrade” list, this would probably be ...

Okay, I don’t have much of a comment on this video of Kragujevac (the fourth largest city in Serbia) either way, other than that I found it to be quite a fantastic short film (in Serbian, with English subtitles) showing Kragujevac's past, present and future .

Belgrade Street Style

There is no doubt about it — people in the urban centre of Belgrade dress well. In Belgrade, women of all ages, from young teens to ladies well into their 70’s, are impeccable and attractive. They look chic, and sexy. It’s also noticeable how well men and women maintain their hair in Belgrade. It comes as no surprise because swanky ...

Want to know how not to respond to criticism? By deleting it. Yet, it appears that's what Inside Tennis, a singular and trusted voice in tennis for over 28 years, has done. Earlier this week Inside Tennis posted anarticle by Michael Mewshaw -- an ignorant, arrogant, and hateful article about Serbia's Davis Cup victory. Inside Tennis predicted, as you can ...
