An American View: Cedomir Jovanovic

Čedomir Jovanović is a Serbian politician and the president of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). His opponents call him a traitor, and I agree with them. Yes, he’s a traitor who favors the independence of Serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija. Well, that said, it looks like that also an American man (yes, an American man), living and working in Belgrade, Bill Kralovec, the Secondary Principal at the International School of Belgrade, understands that Čedomir Jovanović is not a great guy. Yes, Bill Kralovec, an American man, put up a blog post talking about Čedomir Jovanović , and went on to say:

My advice for him would be to establish a career in a chosen field (university professor), and gain some experience outside politics before coming back and trying again. As with US politicians, his model-like looks help, but he is struggling to even get into parliament..

Well said Bill!! My advice for Čedomir Jovanović would be to change his political campaign billboard. Instead of Istina, he should write Priština.

I'm a Frenchman promoting Serbia in the world. I see myself as a Serb. Call me crazy. Call me insane. I am a pragmatic patriot. I love my country, Serbia.

  1. The purpose of my blog post was to comment on the ubiquitous signs of “istina” around the city. It was not my opinion on Jovanovic’s political views. I think it is healthy for a country to have a variety of views and beliefs.
Jovanovic is not a very successful politician in regard to collecting votes, and my suggestion to him to establish a different career, was also not a statement on his political views.

Kosovo is lost more than decade ago… and your country, and that American’s country is very involved in that. If someone here doesn’t remember, we’ve had a war against Kosovan Albanians supported by NATO, and as far as I can recall, both your country and that American’s country supported Kosovo separation, so you, and that American, should choose your words when speaking about Kosovo. You’ve chosen your government who supported terrorists in Kosovo, not me, nor ?edomir Jovanovi?.

We’ve lost the war against Albanians (supported by NATO – France and USA are members of NATO) and usually, as we can learn from history, losing a war costs something. In most cases that’s territory.

I think LDP is just trying to save what can(‘t) be saved. They want TRUTH, and truth can hurt only those who are trying to hide it!

And I would like someone to tell me what should we do if someone gave us Kosovo back tomorrow, with around 2mil Albanians who do not want to live in Serbia? Should we kill them all? Cleanse whole Kosovo from Albanians? We could try (again), but I doubt NATO would approve that. And if we leave them in Serbia, they become regular citizens and they can vote and they can get around (approx.) 10% in the parliament? I surely do not want that! Not that I hate Albanians, but based on what they did earlier, I do NOT want them to lead my country!!!

Just to make it clear – I do NOT support secession of Kosovo! I think it was stolen in a really nasty way! And I probably won’t vote on these elections, but if I had to go and vote (under threat or something) – I would vote for LDP, because I want to live normal life, to work and enjoy life, I don’t really care about what’s happening in Kosovo (in the sense that I don’t care what’s happening in Vojvodina or Šumadija right now)…
